POINGUINIM: Canacona police on Saturday intercepted a goods carrier at Polem and seized 2,358 litres of whisky of various brands estimated to be worth Rs 4 lakh.PI Sandesh Narvekar said the vehicle, driven by Mohammad Samin Shaikh, was headed towards Margao and didn’t have valid documents to transport the consignment.The 200 boxes of whisky were subsequently forwarded to the Canacona excise inspector for further action.
