Quiz on Goa draws Macau students

PANAJI: Students of Escola Portuguesa de Macau (the Portuguese school of Macau) for the first time, participated in a quiz competition at Goa University . Yee, who has Goan roots, was eager to see more of the land where her grandparents were born.The trio participated in the Portuguese quiz, Kaleidoscope, an event that attracts participation from students from all over Goa. "The quiz consists of questions based on articles written by the students from Class 10-12 of Goa-based schools on the subjects of tiatr, artists and musicians of Goa, traditional Goan games, etc," said Nalini Elvino de Sousa of Communicare Trust. The episode will be telecast on a local channel in January 2018.The three girls from Macau, Leonor Silva, Teresa Senna Fernandes and Joana Yee , were accompanied by their teacher Henrique Caetano. The quizzes were held in five languages - Portuguese, Hindi, Konkani, Marathi and French.
