Relief from the Supreme Court to the government in the elevated corridor case from LIG to Naulakha

Rahul Dubey, the state government has got a big relief from the Supreme Court. For the elevated corridor to be constructed from LIG to Naulakha in the city, the High Court had issued an order to offer contract letter to contractor firm UP State Bridge Corporation. 

Rahul Dubey, the state government has got a big relief from the Supreme Court. For the elevated corridor to be constructed from LIG to Naulakha in the city, the High Court had issued an order to offer contract letter to contractor firm UP State Bridge Corporation. The government had filed a special leave petition (civil) against it in the Supreme Court. While hearing the apex court, the High Court has stayed the interim order.
The matter was taken up for hearing before the bench of Justice Rohingan Fali Nariman, Justice Naveen Sinha. Advocate General Purushendra Kaurava advocated on behalf of the government. It was decided to build this bridge to solve the traffic problem in the city. This bridge is to be constructed under the supervision of Public Works Department. Preparations for the construction of this bridge started in the then Congress government. Some companies also showed interest in it.

Raid on 5 firms related to security and transport service, 9 crore tax evasion

The commercial tax department raided the locations of five firms linked to the Transport and Security Service and caught a GST theft of about 9 crore in three days. The department has also deposited Rs 4 crore 13 lakh from these firms. Investigations have revealed that they were tax evasion by declaring the turnover low.
