PIL seeking to invalidate Kailash’s nomination dismissed

Indore: Indore bench of MP high court dismissed a public interest litigation (PIL) filed deeking directives declaring nomination of BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya for the assembly elections from Indore-I constituency invalid.Justice SA Dharmadhikari and Justice Pranay Verma in the order noted, This petition is filed under article 226 of the Constitution of India in the shape of PIL asking for a prayer to declare the nomination of respondent No1 (Kailash Vijayvargiya) to be invalid and prevent him from participating in the elections.Since the election is already over and results have been declared, no such relief can be granted in this PIL.Accordingly, the same is hereby dismissed, directed the division bench.Advocate Vinod Dwivedi filed the PIL against Vijayvargiya, Indore collector, Election commission and state of Madhya Pradesh for declaring nomination papers as invalid.The Raoji Bazar police are expected submit a status report on a private complaint in this matter before a court (MP/MLA) of Special Judge Suresh Yadav on December 20.
