Indore: Indore Municipal Corporations budget of Rs 5162 crore with Rs 82 crore deficit for fiscal 2021-20 was presented by municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal on Monday and tabled before the divisional commissioner and IMC administrator Pawan Kumar Sharma. But unlike last year it did not get approval on the same day. After several hours of discussion the meeting was adjourned and Sharma came out of the hall and told reporters that approval to the budget would be given on Tuesday. “Initial discussion on budgetary provisions has been done on Monday. On Tuesday again the discussion will be held and approval will be given to the budget” he said. Pal told reporters that discussion was done on each provision in the budget. “Some suggestions and instructions were also given during the meeting. We will continue the discussion on the budget on Tuesday as well” she said.
