Dewas Action against beneficiaries soon for not constructing houses after receiving funds says commissioner

Dewas (Madhya Pradesh): Dewas Municipal Corporation on Monday said legal action will be taken against beneficiaries who have not constructed houses even after taking up to Rs 2 lakh under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). At the review meeting Chouhan also said to ban transfer of their properties through registered sale deed. “The PMAY beneficiaries will not be able to donate or mortgage their properties” he added. The department has been told not to register the sale deed of beneficiaries' properties. It has also been decided that Corporation will take over the properties of beneficiaries if they don't start construction work soon.
