Mahakaleshwar temple expansion plan Survey of properties on front side to be held again

Ujjain: For the expansion of the Mahakaleshwar Temple a survey of the houses coming within a radius of 70 meters on the front side will be conducted again. In the report sent to the ADM and Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee (MTMC) administrator many flaws have come to the fore in the survey due to which a survey has been ordered again. For this orders were given to the team of revenue department to conduct the survey. The team which went to conduct survey had returned with the names of tenants residing in these houses. When this half-baked report reached the MTMC administrator Narendra Suryavanshwi he became furious.

Houses are to be acquired for the expansion of the temple. For this orders were given to the team of revenue department to conduct the survey. Sources said more than 150 houses are coming within a radius of 70 meters. The team which went to conduct survey had returned with the names of tenants residing in these houses. The officials were to share information about the actual landlord and tenants in the survey on the basis of the document sources said. When this half-baked report reached the MTMC administrator Narendra Suryavanshwi he became furious. He has ordered to conduct the survey again. It is expected that in the next seven days the team of revenue department will conduct the survey and submit a report. The MTMC will plan accordingly. Meanwhile the families coming under the purview of 70-metre radius in front of the Mahakaleshwar Temple took out a vehicle rally and demonstrated outside Cabinet minister Mohan Yadavs house on Wednesday. The vehicle rally began with the submission of a memorandum at the Choubees Khamba Mata Mandir. It was attended by traders and residents. They kept their establishments closed in the morning and with the rally they reached Gadkalika and Kalbhairav temples. From their they reached Cabinet minister Yadavs house and sat on a dharna. After the dharna which lasted for about half an hour they gave a memorandum to his wife and requested her to get the scheme scrapped. The minister was not at home. Ministers family served tea and snacks to the protesters. ABBS EXTENDS SUPPORT Akhil Bharatiya Brahmin Samaj (ABBS) has extended its support to the demands of the residents and traders of the area who are opposing the expansion of the Mahakal temple complex. ABBS president Surendra Chaturvedi and general secretary Tarun Upadhyay have urged the Chief Minister to reconsider the plan. They demanded that under Madhya Pradesh Rehabilitation Act action should be taken only after complete satisfaction they pleaded that the expansion plan should be postponed for the while.
