Over 7000 ‘shifted-dead-repeated’ voters removed

Indore: Around 7000 electors were removed from final electoral roll after Indore election office prepared a supplementary voter list.Indore election office had released the final electoral roll on October 4. The office continued to identify shifted-dead-repeated (SDR) votersthrough door-to-door survey and scrutiny of the electoral roll . The state has a total of 402,214,450 voters, with more female voters than male. Measures are being taken to rectify errors in house numbers and the number of electors in each house. Individuals can submit claims, objections, and requests for inclusion of names until December 9. The final electoral roll will be published on January 5, 2024. The draft electoral roll will be available for examination at polling station premises and various designated offices. Indian citizens eligible to be included in the roll are urged to review it and take necessary action if their names are missing or if they will turn 18 by January 1, 2024.
