Indore: BJP candidate from Indore-III Golu Shukla skipped the poll debate at press club on Saturday against his opponent from Congress Pintu Joshi.Joshi claimed migration being a major issue in the area. Indore-III is the only constituency in the district that didnt see any rise in voter numbers showing influx of migrationfrom the area because of multiple issues like lack of basic amenities and fearful environment in area, alleged Joshi.Joshi said that if the BJP MLAs had worked for development of the area in the last ten year, then why didnt the party give tickets to them twice in 2018 and 2023, replying to a question about developmental works carried out by BJP MLA in the area. He was referring to BJP denying ticket to Akash Vijaywargiya for 2023 and Usha Thakur being shifted to Mhow from Indore-3 in 2018. They (MLA) claimed that they have carried out Rs 2,000 crore developmental works in the constituency. The truth is that only groundbreaking ceremonies are done. The government only released cumulatively around 48 lakhs in 2022-23 for around 200 crores work for construction of schools, Joshi said. The figures are sufficient to show how much work is done in the area, said Joshi. He further said, The developmental works are done in reverse mode in the area.
