Six hurt in Hingot Yudh

Indore: The warriors of Kalangi and Turra group, keeping the 200 years old tradition alive, took part in Hingot Yuddh in Gautampura village that left at least six injured.Some claimed that the injured might be as high as 30 people, but administrative officials refuted the claims.Depalpur SDM Ravi Verma said, As many as six participants from both sides sustained injuries.Medical assistance has been provided to them. None of them is serious.Block medical officer Abhilash Nagar told TOI that 30 people were treated for minor injuries, none of them critical. All of them were given first aid and were then discharged from the community health centre. This year, there is huge enthusiasm among the participants while around 6,000 reached to witness the centuries old battle between two groups.SDM Verma said adequate safety and security arrangements were made for the event.
