35-yr-old booked for raping 11-year-old daughter in Dewas

Indore: A 35-year-old man was booked for allegedly raping his 11-year-old daughter at their house in Kotwali police station area of Dewas district on Friday.The incident took place around 2 to 2.30 pm, when the survivors mother went to cast her vote. On finding the girl alone, the accused father, a labourer, raped her. On returning, the mother of the survivor heard her daughter crying from outside of the house and asked the minor to open the gate, Kotwali police station in-charge Deepak Yadav said.When she went inside the house, the survivor narrated her ordeal, after which the couple entered into an argument.The mother then took the survivor to her maternal house, about 15 kilometres away from their house, Yadav said.On Saturday, the accused went to his wifes maternal house to apologise. It was then that the relatives came to know about the incident and persuaded to file a complaint. Acting on complaint, the police filed a case under section 376 of IPC and sections of POCSO act, the official said. The accused is absconding and police will arrest him soon, added Yadav.
