Indore: A 60-year-old man was robbed of Rs 20,000 by a bike-borne man who promised him a lift towards his home in Chandan Nagar on Thursday late night.Chandan Nagar police station in-charge Indramani Patel said on the complaint of Luvkush, a resident of Rishi Palace colony, a case was registered against the accused on Friday.Complainant told police that he was travelling from Dahod in Gujarat and had reached Sarvate bus stand at around 1:30 am.He took a lift from a man and reached Phooti Kothi square. When he was looking for another lift, the accused approached him and offered to drop him towards Rishi Palace, and took the complainant to a secluded place, stating that he had to visit a temple. The accused then took him to Gawla colony in Sirpur where he looted him of Rs 20,000 and his phone. The accused thrashed him and threatened him of dire consequences if he spoke about it to anyone.Luvkush fled the spot and reached home. He told his family members about the robbery, who then reached the police station to file a complaint.Police, however, said that the matter seemed a bit suspicious.
