Indore: Around 70 people fell ill on Thursday evening after having lunch at a marriage function in Sarsod village of Ratlam district. Food poisoning is suspected in the case.People suffered stomachache, vomiting, dizziness, and others prompting food and drug, and health authorities to rush to the spot, officials said.CMHO Ratlam Dr Anil Chandelkar told TOI, As many as 70 persons fell ill complaining of vomiting, stomachache, headache, and others on Thursday evening after having lunch at a marriage function in the area.A team of doctors and food inspectors rushed to the spot. The victims were given treatment including administration of IV drips in a nearby primary health centre in the area.They were discharged and sent home after their condition stabilised within hours. Three were referred to Jaora hospital, from where they were discharged after treatment. GHMC officials collected food samples from the restaurant and sent them to the lab for examination. Based on the lab results, they will book a case and/or impose a fine against the hotel. The complaints were reported through the My GHMC app. The affected individuals were admitted to Koranti hospital.
