Bodies of two recovered 27 hrs after falling in rivulet with bike

Indore: Bodies of two persons, including a minor, who had fallen into a water body with their two-wheeler while crossing a bridge, were found 27 hours later in Manawar of Dhar on Saturday night. Bakaner police outpost in-charge Neeraj Kochle said that the incident took place on Friday evening when Madan, resident of Chirkhan, 14, and his brother in-law Sachin, 24, resident of Amjhera in Bakaner were on their way to Bajatta village to meet a relative.While crossing a bridge, Sachin lost control of the vehicle and it fell into arivulet. Both the youths drowned in the water and were washed away. Some passersby had seen them falling into the water and informed locals, who then informed family members and SDERF team was roped in to look for them. The rescue operation was called off on Friday because of low light. It started again early in the morning and continued till late night when both the bodies were found. Kochle said that since there was a lot of water in the rivulet, they faced difficulty in finding the bodies. The bodies were sent for postmortem examination and the deaths were recorded. Dr Virendra Gharve said bodies of the youths were handed over to family members on Sunday morning from Manawar civil hospital.
