Cash, phone stolen from locked shop

Indore: Unidentified men broke into a locked shop in Vijay Nagar area and made away with cash and mobile phone. The incident was recorded in CCTV camera and the police have detained some suspects.Vijay Nagar police station in-charge Ravindra Gurjar said that on complaint of Mahipal Chouhan, a resident of South Tukoganj, a case was registered against the accused.Mahipal, who owns Karnawat Bhojan Prasadi in New Sheetal Nagar, told the police that he had locked his shop at around 11 pm on Nov 25 and returned home.The next day, at around 7 am, he received a call from his cook Narayan that some people had broken into the shop and stolen cash and a mobile phone. He rushed to the spot and checked CCTV footage in which the accused were seen stealing cash and phone. The suspended officers include central zone DCP M Venkateswarulu, Chikkadpally ACP A Yadagiri, and Musheerabad inspector E Jahangir Yadav. Renowned industrialist Jain was kidnapped at gunpoint on Bahadurke road. Accused shot Jain and demanded ransom, but family informed the police. Accused dropped Jain near Vishwakarma Chowk and fled with his car. Four accused already apprehended; police tracing others.
