Accused in dacoity case arrested

Indore: Crime branch of Indore police on Thursday arrested a man wanted in a dacoity case in Banganga and having a cash reward of Rs 5000 on him.Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya said that they had received a tip off that the accusedBhaiyyu alias Jaydeep Panwar had come back to Indore to meet his family in Paramhans Nagar of Aerodrome area. A team was formed and rushed to the spot and Panwar was arrested.He accepted committing the crime and claimed that he had been staying in ashrams and other areas to evade arrest. He also did not use mobile phone, he said.A case under section 399 (preparing to commit dacoity), 402 (assembling to commit dacoity) and relevant sections of Arms Act was registered against him.Dandotiya said that a cash reward of Rs 5000 was announced on any information about the accused. Panwar was produced before the court and taken on remand for questioning in relation to the case. The fishing boats were allegedly torched after a fight between a few individuals. All the accused belonged to the Fishermen community from Jalaripet, who had consumed liquor from morning to late night on the day of the fire mishap. The government compensated the victims with Rs. 7.11 crore, and Janasena chief Pavan Kalyan provided Rs. 50,000 to each victim.Industrialist kidnapping case: Cross firing between Ludhiana police and accused in Tibba areaIn a kidnapping and ransom case, Ludhiana police exchanged cross fires with two absconding accused in Tibba area. Industrialist Sambhav Jain was kidnapped by assailants on November 17 and ransom was demanded. Four accused have been apprehended, while the police were tracing the others. The ongoing encounter between the accused and the police near Tibba road has been confirmed by Ludhiana Commissioner of Police.
