Youth changes bulb at home, electrocuted

Indore: An 18-year-old was electrocuted while changing a bulb at his home in Azad Nagar on Wednesday late night.Ghanshyam was rushed to hospital by his parents at around 1 am but was declared dead by doctors. His father Badri said that they were having dinner when suddenly bulb of washroom stopped working. Ghanshyam went in to check the bulb and was changing it when he fell off chair.We rushed to check and found him lying on floor. He was taken to hospital but could not be saved, he said. The police said that body was handed over to family after postmortem examination. Ghanshyam was youngest of four brothers and used to put up a food stall at Bypass with his father. The police have registered an offense against the unknown officials responsible for the incident. Prajval, a student at VD Shukla high school, was rushed to Sion hospital but was declared dead before admission. Preliminary inquiries reveal that MMRDA had left an electric wire loose, which fell on the barricade. The police are questioning the site supervisor and contractor.
