Global Skills Park ties up with IIM-I, Rashtriya Raksha univ to set up CoE

Indore: The Global Skills Park (GSP) under the department of technical education, skill development and employment at Bhopal is setting a Center of Excellence (CoE) in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore and Rashtriya Raksha University, Gujarat to impart skill training on advanced technologies and enhance employment opportunities by creating a talent pool.Rashtriya Raksha University set up under the ministry of home affairs is specialised in national and internal security and will run programmes on cybersecurity and block chain at the proposed centre coming up in SSR GS, while IIM-I will run programmes on management.Around 3000 youths and working professionals are targeted to be trained every year through online, offline and hybrid programmes run by the partnering institutions in the CoE and the GSP will provide the training infrastructure. The number of beneficiaries are expected to increase gradually at the CoE.The CoE will offer a diverse range of programmes and training courses for fresh graduates and working professionals. GSP has also collaborated with ITEES Singapore to upskill and train students.DTE principal secretary Manu Srivastava said, Leading institutes Rashtriya Raksha University and IIM-I will open their centres in GSP at Bhopal and this collaboration will benefit thousands of youths and working professionals of the state by getting trained by renowned experts and faculty members. The objective of CoE is to impart training on advanced technologies and management modules to the youths of Madhya Pradesh and make them industry ready and competitive.Global Skills Park is a first multi-skill park in India to address the demand for advanced skill in cutting edge technology areas in manufacturing and service sector, said officials.IIM-I director professor Himanshu Rai said, This MoU perfectly aligns with our commitment to empowering the youth by imparting not just theoretical knowledge but also essential practical and vocational skills crucial for their career progression.
