Indore: In a move post-elections, Indore collector Dr. Ilaiyaraaja T has initiated the prompt handoverof Nehru Stadium back to athletes. Notably this marks the first instance when the stadium will swiftly return to its sporting function following elections. Serving as a crucial hub for election activities, the stadium facilitated voting material distribution on 17th November and concluded vote counting on 3rd December.The evacuation process began immediately after vote counting ceased, ensuring the safe transfer of electoral materials. The ruling BJP is challenged by the Congress, and exit polls show no clear winner. Postal ballots and EVM votes will be counted separately. The counting process will take place in 52 district headquarters with tight security. The election saw the participation of 2,533 candidates and a total of 5.59 lakh eligible voters.
