Indore: A truck at Malyakhedi toll plaza on Mandsaur- Pratapgarh road in Mandsaur was intercepted and 1989 kg of concentrated and lanced poppy straw was seized from it on Wednesday.Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), Jaora received a tip-off that a truck would be carrying a huge quantity of poppy straw from Pratapgarh to Indore, following which a strict surveillance was kept on the suspected route and the truck was intercepted.The vehicle was carrying bags of cabbage as cover cargo. On questioning, the driver revealed that illicit poppy straw was loaded beneath the 110 bags of cabbage. The vehicle was then taken to the CBN office.
