CM: After ‘Ladli Behna’, govt to work on ‘Lakhpati Behna’

Indore: The incumbent chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday said that following the success of the Ladli Behna, the state government will work on Lakhpati Behna through the formation of self-help groups and the creation of employment opportunities. Addressing a public meeting in Khandwa, Chouhan said, Small self-help groups will be formed and women of poor and middle class families will be linked with these groups for their economic and overall development.Efforts will be made to help women earn at least Rs 10,000 a month so that they can become a lakhpati within a year.Sisters will not have to shed tears out of compulsion and they will be provided the opportunity to live a life of self-respect, dignity and respect, he added. Chouhan assured the public that all promises made in the manifesto would be fulfilled, including the commitment to provide employment to at least one person in every family.Expressing gratitude to the beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana and attributing the landslide victory in the assembly elections to their support, Chouhan said, Every single promises made in the manifesto will be met and now the journey ahead from Ladli Behna to Lakhpati Behna will be decided. During his visit to Khandwa, Chouhan paid respects at the samadhi site of the renowned saint Singaji Maharaj and performed an aarti ceremony for the Narmada River.
