Indore: Amidst the ongoing half-yearly exams for MP Board students and the recent release of the state Boards 10th and 12th exam timetables, a significant decision has surfaced. Its now confirmed that there will be no pre-board exams for students in the 10th and 12th grades this academic year.The state education department faces a quandary, considering the impending postponement of half-yearly exams due to the assembly elections.Originally scheduled for October, the half-yearly exams have been rescheduled for December, leaving no window for pre-board exams before the board exams, slated to commence on 5 February, 2024.There is no time left for the pre board exams to be conducted now. The half yearly exams are going on and the board has also announced the datesheet for 10th and 12th board exams starting from February 5. Thus After the half yearly exams, the students will be given model question papers to practice for the board exams compensating for the pre boards, said Manglesh Vyas, district education officer. Government school principals in the city echoed this sentiment, acknowledging the tight timeline post the December half-yearly exams, indicating a focus on students practicing model question papers uploaded on the Vimarsh portal in January. These model papers, designed by subject experts, aim to aid students in their preparation for the impending board exams.Approximately 10 lakh students are expected to participate in the upcoming 10th and 12th-grade exams.
