Cleaning poop is now social responsibility of India Inc

LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh government has reached out to India Inc for contributing in making the state open defecation free and has urged corporates to fund construction of toilets in the state under Swachh Bharat Mission through their corporate social responsibility corpus. This is not an exhaustive list and more areas will be added to it shortly. "Several projects have been identified under these three sectors. The government has also prioritized work in Sanskrit schools and tourism for corporates under the scheme while also inviting individuals, societies and trusts to contribute towards development in the state.The government launched a website on Tuesday that carries the list of projects under the three fields having project details, cost and location. However, the three mentioned sectors are close to chief minister's heart and will help interested parties in ascertaining where the government requires funds," said a senior government official.Chief minister Yogi Adityanath said that many organisations have been working with the government to develop the state but there were still several areas where there was immense potential for investment.
