KANPUR: The Etawah police is wrapping radium reflectors around the horns of stray bulls and cows to alert drivers even in pitch dark situation to bring down the number of road accidents involving stray cattle on roads and highways. Till now, 300 cattle have been tagged with radium reflectors. Stray animals on roads may not be visible while driving during the night, often leading to accidents. I have asked all station house officers to identify vulnerable areas prone to mishaps involving stray animals in their jurisdiction and wrap radium reflectors around their horns," the SSP added. Keeping this in mind, we have decided to wrap reflectors around the horns of stray animals moving on roads and highways passing through the district," said SSP Etawah Ashok Kumar Tripathi.
