13 injured as bus overturns on e-way

KANPUR: Nearly 13 people were injured after a Volvo bus turned turtle on Agra-Lucknow Expressway near Sirdharpur village in Unnao district on Monday morning. "We will register a case against the bus driver, who is absconding. Prima facie it appears that the bus skid off the road and turned turtle while it's driver was overspeeding, added a police official privy to the investigation. We have taken his details from the bus attendant who is undergoing treatment at the hospital," SP Unnao Harish Kumar said. The driver of the bus managed to flee the spot.The majority of passengers were sleeping at the time of incident.

The bus coming from Delhi was on way to Azamgarh.The injured were admitted to CHC Bangarmau and district hospital of Unnao.Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority personnel brought a crane to remove the bus leading to massive traffic chaos on lanes of the E-way. The driver of the bus managed to flee the spot.The majority of passengers were sleeping at the time of incident. "We will register a case against the bus driver, who is absconding.
