Jhansi: A 22-year-old ITI student committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his rented accommodation here on Saturday. A two page suicide note is said to have been recovered from the spot, but its contents have not been revealed by the police. According to reports, the deceased Pushpendra Verma, who hails from Luhari village under Sakrar police station, has been living in a rented accommodation in Talpura area of Jhansi.According to his family members, he was a promising student, and this year he did not go to his parents' place during Holi holidays. When the family members of his landlord did not see him till late Saturday evening, they peeped into his room and found him hanging. They immediately informed the police.The police, after inspecting the spot, sent his body for postmortem examination. Apparently, no conclusive reason could be drawn behind the boy committing suicide, but it is said that a suicide note was recovered from the spot but its details have not been revealed by the police. Station officer-incharge, Nawabad, Anil Kumar said, "We have sent the body for the postmortem and investigating is being conducted in the matter”.
