Kanpur: Kreeda Bharti will organize a three kms symbolic race Pawan Khind Race on the occasion of National Sports Day, August 29,2023.Sanjeev Pathak, convener of the race stated that the race would commence from Green Park stadium and will pass through Merchant Chamber crossing, Leelamani hospital road, Raghvendra Swarup auditorium, DAV college hostel Tiraha and enter into Green park stadium from Gate no. 10 B. Each participant would get a participation certificate. A lucky draw would also take place after the race and for lucky draw the participants need to register themselves with organizers. Registration will take place on the spot, he added.Addressing media persons, he said entry in the race is free and is dedicated to patriotism. Apprising about the Pawan Khind, Pathak stated that Bajirao Deshpande, a warrior and his 300 soldiers had fought a war in between Panhala Fort and Vishalgarh Fort, a 60 kilometer long stretch of rough hilly area. Kanpur had started this race and this was third edition and around 20,000 people irrespective of their age were likely to appear in the event. Noted singer Guntas will present patriotic songs on this occasion and a team of Jhansi will present mallakhamb show during the event at Green Park.
