Kanpur: The Allahabad High Court on Friday rejected the bail applications of Renu alias Akhilesh Kanaujiya, Sonu Kashyap and Piyush Shyamdasani, the three accused in the Jyoti Shyamdasani murder case.Justice Rahul Chaturvedi and Justice Mohd Azhar Hussain Idrisi heard the bail applications and observed that appellants Renu and Sonu were contract killers and had committed the murder in lieu of money. They had dragged Jyoti inside the car and stabbed her multiple times. She had sustained as many as 14 wounds. Thereafter, the assailants left the body inside the car and fled. The police had recovered the keys of the car, dagger used in the crime, blood-soaked handkerchief and ornaments worn by the deceased. The duo had been hired by prime accused Piyush Shyamdasani (husband) and Awadhesh Chaturvedi. The court also observed that both the appellants had actively participated in the crime and do not deserve any indulgence from the court. In the matter of Piyushs bail, the court observed that this was cold blooded, well engineered plan prepared by him to execute the crime. It is highly unnatural and unbeleiveable that ones wife was abducted right in front of his eyes and he remained a silent spectator. Piyush had tried to pass it of as kidnapping case wherein unidentified miscreants, after overpowering him, took away his car and wife. This, in fact, was a cunning move on part of Piyush to mislead the police. Under such circumstances, the court is not at all inclined to grant any indulgence to Piyush, the bench said.On the night of July 27, 2014, Jyoti, daughter of a businessman Shankar Nagdev, was brutally murdered and her blood soaked body was found in the car in Panki area of the city.
