Pharmaceutical firm staffer ends life by hanging self in Barra area

Kanpur: A 24-year-old employee of a pharmaceutical company allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Barra police station area of city on Tuesday. Police, on being informed, reached the spot along with a forensic team and initiated investigations. Forensic team collected evidence from room.At the time of the incident, the deceased Manish Pal was wearing earphones, which suggested that he was speaking to someone prior to taking the extreme step, the police said. Family members alleged that he was having an affair with a local girl and used to talk to her on phone on a regular basis. On Monday, he took the extreme step probably while talking to her, they said. Prior to that he had an argument with her over some issue, they added.Manish, a resident of Barra Nai Basti, who used to work in a pharmaceutical company lived with his parents and other siblings. According to family members, after having dinner on Monday night, went to his room. When Manish did not come out of his room on Tuesday morning, his mother Vidya went to the room to check on him as usual. She repeatedly knocked at the door, but did not get any response. Fearing something amiss, she alerted other house inmates. On peeping inside the room, they saw Manishs body hanging from the ceiling. Subsequently, they informed the police about the incident. Police rushed to spot along with forensic team.
