Three Air Force personnel, two others injured in pile-up

Kanpur: Five persons were injured in a multi-vehicle pile-up near Chakarpur Mandi on Kanpur-Etawah highway on Thursday morning. The accident also led to traffic chaos on the highway for several hours.At around 9am on Thursday morning, a car driver suddenly applied brakes near Chakarpur Mandi on Kanpur-Etawah highway due to which, an Air Force bus coming from behind, a loader and a mini Air Force truck piled up. A bike also got trapped in between these vehicles.Three Air Force personnel and two others sustained injuries in the accident. All five were taken to a nearby private hospital where they are undergoing treatment. According to the reports, two Air Force vehicles, including a DCM and a bus were heading to Saharanpur from Prayagraj. Near the Chakarpur Mandi, a car driver suddenly applied brakes following which the DCM truck of Air Force rammed into it and two other vehicles also piled up. Three Air Force personnel suffered injuries. A bikers right leg got fractured and a loader driver also sustained injuries on his right leg and left hand, siad Sachendi police station in-charge Yogesh Kumar Singh. All are undergoing treatment in a private hospital, he said.Due to the pile up, long queues of vehicles were stranded on the highway for several hours, causing a jam of about 10 kilometers long. The attacks targeted the Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions. The drones used were of Iranian origin. The information could not be independently verified by Reuters, and there has been no comment from Russia. In addition to the drone attacks, Russia also carried out multiple instances of shelling, causing injuries and damage to buildings.
