Banda jawan’s body to reach his village today

Kanpur: A pall of gloom descended on Atrahat village of Banda after the news of Army jawan Trimohan Singhs death reached here. Singh (35), a native of the village under Chilla police station of Banda district, was posted in Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force. He died after falling into a deep gorge in Pithoragarh Uttarakhand while he was on duty in Neelam Valley with six other jawans on Sunday.A search and rescue operation was immediately launched with troops from the nearest post but he died by the time he was rescued. The deceased, Constable Balmiki Sinha, had recently returned to duty after a two-month leave and was reportedly facing family issues following the death of his wife. No suicide note was found at the scene and an investigation is currently underway.
