Kohinoor CC won by 312 runs.Trial run of AI-based cameras beginsThe forest department in Coimbatore has initiated a trial run of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based cameras along railway tracks to prevent wild elephants from being hit by trains. The cameras, equipped with thermal imaging features, detect the movement of elephants and alert officials via SMS and sirens. The cameras are placed along two lines, spanning a total of 4.58km, in the Madukkarai forest range. The project, funded with INR 7.24 crore, aims to reduce train speeds and protect wildlife. Speed guns will also be installed to monitor train speeds and issue alerts if limits are exceeded.
