Police: Accused planned to dismember minor boy’s body

Kanpur: Police investigation has so far revealed that accused Prabhat had a very dangerous plan as during his three-day remand, he told the investigators that his plan was to cut business man sons body into pieces and throw them into Ganga as soon as he got the ransom money.To cut the body into pieces, Prabhat had bought a sharp knife and arranged polythene bags to dispose of the body parts, said an official privy to the investigation.The police have also recovered minor boys mobile phone which has been sent for investigation. From the investigation done so far, it seems that the accused had killed boy for money, said joint commissioner of police Anand Prakash Tiwari. We have recovered the mobile phone and a sharp-edged knife. The forensic team has made videos of all the places where the accused were spotted on the day of the murder, and their appearance will be matched. For this, the footage and videos will be sent to Lucknow forensic lab, official further said. Another police official said, After making boy unconscious by offering him soft drink laced with sedative, Prabhat then tied his hands and legs and made his video in order to show it to his family and collect the ransom money.To recall, the body of a 17-year-old boy, the son of a textile businessman, was found on Tuesday last at the house of his former tuition teachers partner in Fazalganj.
