Kanpur: Additional district and sessions judge Yogesh Kumar-II Kanpur Nagar on Monday sentenced two persons to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 1.2 lakh each for rape and murder of a minor girl.The court ordered to pay Rs 75,000 to the father of the victim.According to public prosecutor Chandra Kant Sharma, the victims father in his report lodged at Rail Bazar police station on November 20, 2015, had alleged that Bauwan, resident of CPC Mall godown Collectorganj, Deepak Gupta, and one juvenile enticed his minor daughter raped and killed her.The girl had been missing since November 18, 2015.On November 20, the girls father got information that a body of a minor girl was lying near the railway line, which he identified as that of his daughter. A man named Yusuf had informed him that the girl was last seen with rag pickers Bauwan, Deepak, and the juvenile.The police arrested them. After interrogation, they confessed their crime and revealed that they killed the girl after raping her because she had identified them.The prosecutor said the file of the juvenile accused was separated and sent to the juvenile justice board for the trial. The court ordered that a copy of this order be sent to the Delhi commissioner of police and DCP (South) to sensitize officers investigating POCSO cases. The case being heard involved the rape of a three-year-old girl at her school in south Delhi.
