ACP falls down duringprotest at DAV College

Kanpur: A group of students were demonstrating near the office of the principal of DAV College in Civil Lines area and while controlling the situation an an assistant commissioner of police fell on the ground, here on Thursday. A video of the incident has gone viral.The incident occurred when protesters became aggressive with police and following the chaos, ACP Kotwali Ranjit Kumar fell on the ground.Later, the protesting students entered the main gate after breaking the lock and reached the principals office. Police had to use mild force to disperse the students.Joint commissioner of police Anand Prakash Tiwari, however, said students had no intention of pushing the ACP, but due to the chaos, he lost balance and fell on the ground.Police said the students were protesting against poor electricity, unhygienic conditions prevailing near the parking lot and various other issues.Nevertheless, I have deputed ACP Lakhan Singh to investigate the incident and submit a report in this regard, said JCP further.We also published the following articles recentlyCollege student dies in road accident near ChennaiA college student died and two others were injured in a motorcycle accident in Chennai.
