2 killed, 1 hurt as bike crashes into tree

Kanpur: Two men died and a one got injured critically when the bike all three were riding hit a tree on the roadside in Shivli area of Kanpur Dehat district on Wednesday.The deceased were identified as Mohammad Shanu (30) and Sushil Kumar (23) of Aujhan village in Rasoolabad police area. Shan Mohammad (25) of the same village, was injured and referred to Kanpur after primary treatment.Police said, The accident occurred in the wee-hours of Wednesday when the bike rider failed to negotiate a curve and lost balance and the bike crashed into a roadside mango tree.It appears to be a case of negligent driving.The three men were rushed to a nearby Community Health Center, where Shanu and Sushil Kumar were declared dead by the doctors.Their bodies are at the morgue and the families have been informed.
