Kanpur: A woman has accused her husband of raping her 12-year-old niece. In her complaint, she said that he used to give her sleeping pills and then secxually assault the girl. The woman said that she had called her niece to help her in household chores after her health deteriorated about one-and-a-half month ago. Her husband used to make her sleep by giving sleeping pills and then rape the 12-year-old girl, she alleged The matter came to light when the girl narrated the ordeal to her a few days ago. Subsequently, the woman lodged a complaint against her husband in Chakeri police station on Wednesday. Police station in-charge Ashok Dubey said that on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against the accused under IPC sections including rape and Pocso.
