Kanpur: Police have arrested four members of a gang that stole buffaloes from nearby districts . The accused were identified as Swayanwar Babu Prajapati, Roshan Dwivedi, Binda Verma and Sunil Kumar Prajapati, all residents of Banda district. They had stolen three buffaloesfrom Banda, and were heading towards Kanpurs Sarsaul cattle market in a loader to sell them.Police said the arrest of the accused will help police solve other cases of cattle theft in the region. The accused have confessed to stealing the buffaloes, the police said further and added that we will seek their remand to interrogate them further.The police have also recovered a country-made firearm of 12 bore from their possession.
