Ram supported us during our freedom struggle: Former President Kovind

Kanpur: Former President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday said that Shri Ram had also supported us during our freedom struggle.Mahatma Gandhi, the greatest warrior of the Independence movement, gained Indias freedom by singing Ram Dhun of Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram every day. Even when he was shot, he fell on the ground taking Rams name, Kovind said. He was addressing a gathering at Ram Katha being organized in collaboration with Divya Seva Mission in Lodipur Nivada village of Hamirpur district.He further said that the happiest moment of his life was when the Supreme Courts decision on Ram Mandir came during his tenure. It was during my tenure that the Supreme Court gave that historic decision. Due to which, the dispute that had been going on for years on the construction of Ram temple ended, he said. The event took place in Lodipur Nivada village of Hamirpur district and was organized in collaboration with Divya Seva Mission.Ayodhya to submerge in religious colours for launch of Ram TempleTop bhajan singers will perform at the week-long celebrations in Ayodhya leading up to the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple on January 22, 2024. The culture department has allocated Rs 100 crore for the celebrations. The itinerary includes bhajans, Ram katha, Ram Leelas, cultural events based on Ramayana, and Ram Charan Paduka Yatra. Recitals of kirtan, Sunderkand, and Akhand Ramayan will be organized at prominent temples. The venues for the events are Purushottam Manch, Saryu Manch, Kagbhushundi Manch, and Tulsi Udyan. Prominent artists and troupes have been invited to participate.
