Identify centres that have made minimum Ayushman cards: DM

Kanpur: District magistrate Vishak G Iyer on Monday directed the chief medical officer to identify ten centres which have made minimum Ayushman cards in the urban areas and issue charge sheets to respective in-charge doctors and stop disbursement of their salaries.The district magistrate passed the orders in the district health committees review meeting held at Sarsaiya Ghat.He also directed the nodal officer, Ayushman card, to submit a progress report every fortnight to him.While reviewing the family welfare programme, the DM asked the additional chief medical officer/nodal officer (family welfare) to send the Emergency Obstetric Care (EmOC) medical officer concerned for re-training at her own expense if the delivery (Cesarean) was not performed by her else ensure departmental action.The DM directed the CMO to ensure availability of necessary staff to run the cardiology unit in the District Mens Hospital so that the cardiology unit could be operated smoothly.While reviewing the vaccination programme, it was found that the vaccination programme has not been fed properly on the e-Kavach portal, and for this all urban and rural medical superintendents have been directed to immediately appoint Auxiliary nursing midwives.During review of the National Blindness Control Programme, the nodal officer Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram has been asked to ensure distribution of spectacles among children .We also published the following articles recently7 trainee IAS officers posted as OSD to DCs of seven districtsHaryana government appoints newly-inducted IAS officers as OSD to deputy commissioners of seven districts during their training period; this is a newly created post confirmed by the state government.Maharashtra directs all dists to ensure Covid system fully functionalMaharashtras public health department instructs districts to ensure functional Covid infrastructure due to rise in respiratory illness among children in China; paediatricians assert no unusual activity in respiratory illnesses among children; state officials stress increasing surveillance of hospitalised and cluster cases; Centre issues advisory to review preparedness; strengthen surveillance of severe acute respiratory infections and Influenza-Like Illnesses across medical facilities in Maharashtra
