Former Prez attends nephew’s wedding

Kanpur: Former President Ram Nath Kovind on Monday reached Kanpur Dehat-his native district to attend the wedding of his nephew. He spent more than 3 hours with his family members and then left for his destination by helicopter.Former President arrived in Jhinjhak town of Kanpur Dehat by a helicopter on Monday. He was given a guard of honor on his arrival at Mati headquarters.District and police officials and his family members welcomed him. From there, theformer President reached his brother Pyarelals house in Jhinjhak and met his family members. After this, the former President attended the marriage ceremony of nephew Deepak.The former President presented gifts to nephew Deepak and daughter-in-law Pallavi. The court clerks report suggested sending the HC order to the police for necessary proceedings. The accuseds lawyers presented the certified copy of the HC order in court. Diwakar, along with several others, was charged with land grabbing and abetment to commit suicide. He had applied for anticipatory bail, claiming his innocence and presenting evidence of his whereabouts during the incident. The police will file a detailed reply in the high court.
