KANPUR: A lawyer here has filed a complaint with the Election Commission (EC) against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for passing alleged caste and religion based remarks at a rally in Fatehpur on Sunday. "Dalit ko poocho, to woh kahta hain mujhe haque nahi de rahe hain, OBC wale le jatein hain; OBC walo ko poocho, to bole mere haque nahi dete, woh sirf Yadav ko de dete hain; Yadav se poocho, to woh kahte hai ki saab jo unke pariwar se jo jude hain, sirf unhi ko milta hai; Yadav ko bhi nahi milta hai, aur jo pariwar se bachta hai, woh sara Musalman le jate hain, Yadav ko bhi nahi milta hai (When you ask Dalits, they say OBC take all of my quota; when you ask OBC, they say, Yadav take it all from my quota; when you ask Yadav, they say one particular family takes all from quota and the leftover is being taken away by Muslims and Yadavs too get nothing," Modi had reportedly said at the rally.The lawyer, Abhimanyu Kashiwar Gupta, said, "Along with the complaint, I have also dispatched a video footage carrying content of PM's speech delivered in an election rally in Fatehpur and pleaded before EC to conduct a fair probe," adding that EC has acknowledged the plaint.
