45 day handloom weaving training kicks off

Ludhiana December 4The Weavers Service Centre Ministry of Textile Government of India has started the handloom weaving training of 45 days under the Samarth Scheme for capacity building in the handloom sector with the assistance of the District Industries Centre (DIC) Ludhiana at the Handloom Weavers' Welfare Society Gulabi Bagh Tibba Road here. During the training 25 trainees two assistants and a master trainer will be present for 45 days. The trainees will be given a stipend of Rs 210 per day and a honorarium will be given to the assistant and master trainer. A certificate will be given to all trainees after assessment and successful completion of the training. Sukhwinder Rekhi functional manager DIC Jitender Sharma technical superintendent in the Weavers' Service Centre Panipat were among those present.

The online attendance system (bio-metric device) will record the attendance on a daily basis during the training. A certificate will be given to all trainees after assessment and successful completion of the training.
