Tribune News Service Ludhiana December 5 The Police Division 3 nabbed a self-styled godman on the charges of raping a 17-year-old girl a student of Class XII here. The accused has been identified as Baba Vicky Sai alias Vicky Walia of Dharampura Mohalla. The complainant said her husband Sanjiv Kumar died on December 7 due to some illness. “A day before my husbands death the accused had come to our house and performed some exorcism ritual. He had then assured that his illness will be cured but the next day he passed away” the woman added. After the death of her husband the accused again visited her house to perform some “path for her daughters wellness” and stayed in the house. On the pretext of treating some illness of her daughter he raped her. After that the accused violated her many times in the house and at his dera. Her daughter had been facing sexual exploitation for a long time but her mother was mum as the accused had threatenedto kill her. Investigating officer ASI Rachpal Kaur said the accused was arrested.
