Our Correspondent Ludhiana December 7 The Dugri police have made a recovery of 290 gm of an addictive substance on the basis of information provided by Harjinderpal Singh a resident of Bhagat Singh Nagar Colony and his accomplice Lal Singh a resident of Kot Isse Khan in Moga from the residence of Harjinderpal Singh in Bhagat Singh Nagar. The duo was already in police custody for the alleged kidnapping of a city hoteliers son and was being interrogated. The police said the accused Harjinderpal Singh had revealed during interrogation that he and Lal Singh were also involved in drug peddling. The accused already charged under Sections 1/12/20 of the Arms Act and Sections 364-A/369/342/506/381/473 of the IPC have also been booked under Sections 22/29/61/85 of the NDPS Act. Another drug peddler held The police have nabbed another drug peddler identified as Abhijit Singh a resident of Guru Gobind Singh Nagar Shimplapuri with habit-forming drugs. The accused has been booked under Sections 22-B/61/85 of the NDPS Act. The police said the accused was coming on an Activa scooter (PB-10GD-0764) from the Bareta Road side. On seeing the police party the scooter-borne accused attempted to turn back. Getting suspicious the police party overpowered the accused and on his search recovered 300 tablets each of Phenotil and Limotil.
