AAP LIP condemn Centre

Goyal said there had been five meetings between the Centre and farmers' organisations to withdraw the three laws but still the Centre was showing stubbornness on the matter. LIP general secretary Randhir Singh Sivia chief spokesperson Gagandeep Singh alias Sunny Kainth were among those others who participated in the protests. Meanwhile LIP leader Baldev Singh and party workers made a human chain on Gill Road. Besides the workers led by LIP leader Rajwinder Singh Raju protested at Samrala Chowk. Addressing the gathering the party leaders said the LIP had been opposing the farm ordinances since the beginning but these were turned into laws.

Tribune News Service Ludhiana December 8 Expressing surprise and anger at the BJP government at the Centre for ignoring voices of farmers in the state and across the country and not rescinding the three “black agriculture laws” despite their protests the Aam Aadmi Party Ludhiana participated in a dharna at MBD Mall Ferozepur Road here. In a statement issued to the media AAP Ludhiana (urban) president Suresh Goyal said at present the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central Government was arrogant over power and was not listening to the voice of people due to which all sections of society were fed up with the Centre. The Ludhiana team participated in the protest under the banner of the Kisan Union on the call of Bharat bandh of farmer organisations which were continuously opposing the three farm Acts. Goyal said there had been five meetings between the Centre and farmers organisations to withdraw the three laws but still the Centre was showing stubbornness on the matter. He said demands of the farmers were clear and if they were not understood by BJP leaders the latter had no right to stay in power and lead people. Extending support to the protesting farmers Lok Insaaf Party leaders and workers staged protests at various locations and demanded from the Modi government that three “anti-farmer” laws be repealed immediately without preconditions. The protests were held on the instructions of party chief MLA Simarjeet Singh Bains and patron MLA Balwinder Singh Bains.
