Ludhiana: The MC sealed four buildings in the Zone B areas on Monday for not depositing property tax. MC superintendent (property tax) Vivek Verma said the building owners later deposited the pending property tax and then these buildings were unsealed. Teams of the MCs Zone B recovered around Rs 5.25 lakh and the Zone C team recovered around Rs 6.25 lakh as property tax from the defaulters. tns Factory workers phone snatched Ludhiana: A mobile phone of Paranjit Yadav an industrial worker was snatched by motorcycle-borne youths on Sunday evening when he was standing outside the Bonn bread factory to take an auto-rickshaw to return home after finishing his duty at a factory. He told the police that the registration number of the black motorcycle was PB 10CB 7982. oc Man booked for illegal mining Ludhiana: The police have booked an unidentified person under Section 379 IPC and Section 20 of the Mining Act who was seen coming from the Sutlej bundh and proceeding towards Chhohle Patti village via newly constructed Northern Bypass with an illegally mined sand-laden tractor trailer. On seeing the police the suspect escaped leaving the tractor-trailer on the spot which was impounded by the police. oc
