Students shine in UGC NET

Ludhiana: Students of MCom II of Government College for Girls Ludhiana namely Komal and Blossom Singla brought laurels to their alma mater by clearing UGC-NET exam which was held in October. She further wished them good luck for their future endeavours and congratulated the teachers of PG Department of Commerce for this great achievement. Awareness programme on AIDS The School of Nursing of Desh Bhagat University organised an AIDS awareness campaign from December 1-15 to sensitise students about the ailment. “Various activities such as poster making competition rangoli competition and speech competition were organised to aware students of the disease. Over 1500 students were covered during the drive” said Chancellor Zora Singh. Professor Deepak Kumar Sandhliya Vice-Principal School of Nursing gave an awareness lecture. Gurupurb celebrated Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College celebrated the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak with zeal. The pious event started with the Bhog of Sehaj Path after which assistant professor Mandeep Kaur welcomed the sangat. The faculty members of the college recited religious and sacred hymns. Dr SP Singh president Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council said the institution aims to to spread the preaching and teachings of Guru Nanak. Webinar organised Partap College of Education Ludhiana organised an International webinar in collaboration with Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication Kazan Federal University Kazan Russia. The webinar was conducted to strengthen the spirit of collaboration and the memorandum of understanding signed between Partap College and Kazan Federal University in February 2019. “ The focus of the webinar was to develop internationalised perspective on teaching and learning process and to strengthen the understanding of educational systems in India and Russia” said Prof Balwant Singh Director Partap College.
