Ludhiana December 22 After a married woman committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her in-laws residence in Chaunta village the Koom Kalan police registered a case of abetment to suicide against the womans husband and her in-laws. The deceased has been identified as Rajwinder Kaur. The booked accused are deceaseds husband Jang Singh his father Dilbag Singh mother Kuldeep Kaur and sister Manpreet Kaur. Deceaseds father Karnail Singh said his daughter got married to the accused in 2017. After marriage he started torturing his daughter for bringing more dowry. For the past few days the victims husband and in-laws had been asking the woman to tell her parents to gift a new car to them. On Sunday the couple had a scuffle over the issue and the next day her in-laws called and said she had committed suicide he said. “My daughter cannot commit suicide she was strangled to death by her husband and in-laws and later they gave it a shape of suicide. Even the deceaseds three-year-old son told us that she was killed by his father Karnail said. — TNS
