Tribune News Service Ludhiana December 27 The police nabbed three persons in two snatching cases and recovered valuables from them. In the first incident the Jodhewal police nabbed a man and recovered two gold chains from him. The suspect has been identified as Hardaman Singh of Block J Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar. Investigating officer ASI Pawanjit Singh said a police party was conducting patrolling in Kailash Nagar when a tip-off was received that the suspect a notorious smuggler was on the way to sell some snatched gold chains. Accordingly the police laid a naka near the Shivpuri chowk where the bike-borne suspect was intercepted. During search two gold chains were recovered from him. In another case the Police Division 7 nabbed two snatchers and they were identified as Gautam Sahni and Vicky Sahni both residents of the Tajpur road area in Ram Nagar. Complainant Vinay Kumar of Kishore Nagar said on December 12 he was heading to his house and when he reached the Tajpur road four bike-borne persons stopped him on the road and attacked him. They snatched Rs 6000 in cash and his bicycle from him. Investigating officer in the case ASI Resham Singh said later two suspects were identified and arrested in the case. The ASI said efforts were on to identify the other accused.
